He had been married, but was later divorced.
A retired A&P Grocery salesman living at 444 Neeleys Bend Road in Madison, Tennessee, Robert was 75 years old and was at rural Nashville's Davidson County Hospital when he had a heart attack and died on November 4, 1954. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
