Pattie was married on June 14, 1871 in Greenup County, Kentucky as the 2nd wife of Robert Samuel "R S" Mefford (1835-1926), the son of John Mefford (1787–1872) and Jane (Blair) Mefford (1800–1839). R S was married 1st to Sara Jennie Archdeacon (1843–1870), and they had at least 2 children.
Living on Gallatin Pike in rural Madison, Tennessee, she was 82 years old and a widow when she died at home on January 8, 1936. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery.
