RITES FOR FORMER PLYMOUTH MAN TO BE HELD AT GRAFTON FRIDAY

Plymouth, Jan 15 – William M. Borchardt, 78, Osage, former Plymouth pioneer, died Tuesday afternoon at a hospital in Osage following a major operation. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon.

He was born in Germany at Bormenn June 15, 1852. He was married to Maggie Artzberger October 26, 1882. To them were born 12 children. A daughter, Lizzie, preceded her father in death.

Those living are Charles, Louis, Lloyd and Mrs. S. Graverson, Ferdinand, Plymouth; Lawrence, Grafton; Frank, Osage; Mrs. Rienold Koehler, Grafton; George, Mitchell; Alvin, on the old homestead and Rosa at home with her parents.

Mr. Borchardt was a pioneer farmer, settling here more than 50 years ago when the land was prairie.

The services will be at the Lutheran Church at Grafton, the Rev. Carl Landeck officiating. Burial will be in Grafton.
