Funeral services for Harold W. Tanner of Marion will be 3 p.m. today in the Mitchell Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Tanner officiating. Mr. Tanner, 60, died Friday in Veterans Hospital, Marion. He was born Nov. 19, 1913, in Carrier Mills, a son of Thomas Raymond and Lillian Parks Tanner. On April 29, 1939, in Jackson Mo., he married Elberta Whitehead. He was a member of the Spiller Town Church and a Navy veteran. He was employed as a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife; his father, two sons John and Rev. Gary, a daughter, two brothers, R.J., and Charles, three sisters, Athel, Wanda Rader, and Helen Atwood, and seven grandchildren. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
