Entertainer. She was an original Mouseketeer on the Mickey Mouse Club, one of only nine child actors who were on the show during its entire original run on ABC-TV from 1955 through 1959. Known for her shoulder-length blond curls, Pendleton, who was among the youngest of the original cast, was usually paired with Carl “Cubby” O’Brien in the episode-closing “Now it’s time to say goodbye” song. They were originally referred to as “Meeseketeers,” because of their ages. After the series ended, she left show business and returned to school to finish her education. In 1983, she was involved in an automobile accident which left her paralyzed from the waist down. Later, she served on the Board for the California Association of the Physically Handicapped. Pendleton, who also co-starred in many Mickey Mouse Club reunion shows and parades at Disneyland and at fan shows and conventions, died after suffering a heart attack.
