Dawn P. (Messer) Attis, passed away peacefully at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, NS on Monday, November 10, 2014. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Naomi (Gray) Messer.
She was ambitious and career minded, a registered nurse and flight attendant for Trans Canada, now Air Canada. She successfully sold Clairol for many years and owned two salons, Hair Keepers and Modern Reflections. She was a true entrepreneur.
She also owned Mans Best Friend.
Dawn was an acclaimed show judge for all breeds and was sought after around the world. She was also a renowned breeder of standards.
Dawn was a devoted mother to her beloved son, Donald Joseph Attis, of Nile Mile River, NS and will be sadly missed by her sister, Lorna Naomi Hill, niece Brenda, both of Georgetown, TX; nephews, Daniel Charles Hill of Kitchener, ON, Geoffrey Scott Hill, of Hurst, TX, Kirk LeBlanc of Dallas, TX and Kris LeBlanc of Halifax, NS.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Micky. Dawn Penelope (Messer) Attis Ishe were here today she'd say alright, that's quite enough of being sad, now let's have some fun! She was the epitome of love, laughter and joy!
Graveside Service was held at Congregation Tiferes Israel Cemetery, Dieppe, NB on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements.
