Marion Albert Fogle, 84, of Cordova, SC, passed away following a brief illness at M.U.S.C. Charleston, Sunday, September 22, 2019. 
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at St. George Baptist Church, Orangeburg, SC, with the Reverend David Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. George Baptist Church Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are grandsons, Derek Fogle, Matthew Fogle, Chandler Fogle, Adam Raptis; and nephews, Richie Fogle, and Larry Fogle. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Hill, John Ulmer, Chad Hill. The family will receive friends Monday, September 23rd at the home from 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. and Monday Evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home.
Albert was born in Orangeburg, S.C., a son of the late Eddie Arthur Fogle Sr. and Bertha Blewer Fogle. He was a graduate of Edisto High School and attended Presbyterian College and Furman University. He grew up on the family farm in Cordova working along side his father and brothers where he developed a very strong work ethic. He and his brothers did such a good job that his dad decided to retire at age 41. In 1956 he married the love of his life Ginger Ulmer. They raised a family and ultimately enjoyed 59 years together. In 1967 he ventured out on his own and established Fogle Brothers Constuction where he enjoyed a lifelong passion working in and around his community. He was a lifelong member of St George Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon, member of the building committee and Senior Men's Sunday School Class. He loved his family, traveling, reading, camping and hunting with his best friend Emory Daff.  
Survivors include his two daughters, Beth Raptis of Orangeburg, SC, and Debbie Thomas of Rock Hill, SC; two sons, Al Fogle of Hendersonville, N.C. and Eddie Fogle (Deborah) of Orangeburg, SC; granddaughter, Sommer Thomas; grandsons, Derek Fogle, Matthew Fogle (Lauren), Chandler Fogle (Alex), and Adam Raptis; great-grandsons, Tyler Thomas and Hunter Fogle; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Stephen Thomas. 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to St. George Baptist Church, 2590 Shillings Bridge Road, Orangeburg, SC 29115 or St Jude Children's Research, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1942
