Mrs. Alma Thrift Crawford, 96, died Saturday morning (March 11, 2006) at her residence following a short illness.
She was born August 6, 1909 in Ware County and was a lifelong residence of Ware County. She was married to Leonard Toomer Crawford in 1926 and he preceded her in death in 1975. She was the daughter of the late George Washington Thrift and Vernon Davis Thrift and was preceded in death by nine brothers and five sisters.
She attended Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church where she was a member for many years before moving her membership to High Bluff Primitive Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday (March 13, 2006) at Piney Grove Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church Sunday afternoon from 5 until 7. Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
