Cottondale - Susie M. Johnson, 76, died March 28, 2002 at her home. Services will be held 3:30 today at Cottondale Community Church with Rev. Chris Barnett, Rev. Tony Ledbetter and Rev. Martin Emerson. Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Johnson, Jr. and her son Edward Johnson, and her parents Rufus and Nellie Akins.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Kelly (Allen) and Pam Barnett (Kevin) both of Cottondale; sisters, Sara Franklin, Eudora Hamilton; brothers, R.Z. Akins and Jerry Akins; grandchildren, Meghan Kelly, KELI Barnett, Daniel Barnett, Stephen Kelly.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Boatwright, Herman Smith, Jeremy Akins, Billy Colburn, Gary Warren, Craig Vail, Roger Burroughs, Mark Griffin.

Honorary pallbearers are Cottondale Community Church, Dr. Brian Wilhite, Kathy Smith, Dottie Hall (Speck), Dr. William Hill, Linda Griffith, Lindsey Vail, Ladies Sunday School Class, Faculty and Staff of Cottondale Elementary. Breakfast buddies at Hardee’s in Alberta.
