Paul G. Addlesberger, 51, of Poplar Street, Mont Alto, died at 6 a.m. Sunday at his home. He had been in failing health for the past three years and was confined to his home for the last year.
Mr. Addlesberger was born at Mont Alto, Nov. 2, 1919, son of Mrs. Velva M. (Creager) Addlesberger and the late Robert Addlesberger. His early life was lived at Mont Alto. During World War II, he served with the U. S. Army inthe European Theater. Following his discharge from the service he was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad and later at the Samuel Dixon State Hospital.
He moved to Delaware in 1948 and for a number of years operat d a propane gas business. Mr. Addlesberger
returned to Mont Alto in 1967 and, prior to ill health forcing his retirement, he was employed at
the Waynesboro Shoe Factory. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Owls Club.
In addition to his mother, with whom he had made his home since returning to Mont Alto, he
is survived by three sons: Micha l Addlesberger , Bridgeville, Del., Dale Addlesberger, Honolulu, Hawaii,
and Dannie Addlesberger, Seaford, Del. Also surviving are a grandson, a brother, Robert Addlesberger , Honolulu , Hawaii, and a sister, Miss Betty Addlesberger, Mont Alto.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. William Crilley.
Burial will be made in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Quincy.
