Johanna DeNooy, age 89, of Jenison passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; children, Patricia and John; siblings, John and Jane Lambers, Stuart VanderKooi, Alberdene and John Keuning.
Jo will be lovingly remembered by her children, Diana DeNooy-Aguirre and Raul Aguirre, Corrine Battjes, Suzanne and Rick Remtema, Carla and Ken Avink; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, MariJo and Jordan (Jordan, Jr.), Andres, Courtney and Justin (Vanessa, Cristina, Wade, Ardene, Ford, Vega), Jordan and Katie (Hayden, Adilyn, Chase), Casey and John (Lauryn, Aubree, Johnny), Chelsea and Josh (Reese, Jade, Layne), Samantha and Bobby (Rachel, Savannah, John), Zack and Chelsea; and sister, Grace.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 29, 10 am at Sunset Manor Auditorium, 725 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Gerry Koning officiating.
Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday from 5-7 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
