Robert Bobby Tanner, 57, of Jacksboro, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011, in Fort Worth, Texas. There are no services planned at this time. Mr. Tanner was born on June 26, 1953 in Roanoke, Virginia to Alfred Mack and Vertie (Alligood) Tanner. He was a graduate of Bellevue High School in Bellevue, Texas. Mr. Tanner served his country in the US Navy and was retired from the Lumber Yard. Survivors include his two daughters, Heather Tanner of Stamford, Texas and Sherry Tanner of Corsicana, Texas; his mother, Vertie Anastas and husband Gene of Jacksboro, Texas; one brother, Danny Tanner of Roanoke, Virginia; two sisters, Margie Barnett of Henrietta, Texas and Bonnie Schneider and husband Eddie of Greenville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Timothy, Cheyenne and Stetson; several nieces and nephews. There will be a private family gathering on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the home of Gene and Vertie Anastas in Jacksboro, Texas.
