Arnold was my cousin. They used to call us "twins" cause my grandmother would say we looked alike. I didn't see it but "OK". He was rambunctious and "travieso"! Always getting into trouble in a fun sort of way. Made me laugh when he made faces while posing for photos (and getting smacked or scolded by Abuelita sometimes for cutting up). He had a serious side, too. I recall a conversation I had with him just as I was about to leave for basic training. He told me he was glad I was joining the military; to go out and see the world and write to him from time to time, which I did. But as it happens with time and distance, we stopped writing to each other. He loved Elvis Presley .
