Gaston Walter Chapman, son of the late, Edward Guss Chapman, survived by his mother, Netter Jarrett Chapman; other survivors include his wife, Nora Emily Meece Chapman; son, Tommy Chapman; and daughters, Barbara Chapman Branchfield, Dorothy Chapman Jessup, Louise Chapman Childers, Mildred Chapman Elliott, Jo Ann Chapman Dowling, and Katherine Chapman Gaines; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Old Toxaway Baptist Church Cemetery, Transylvania County, North Carolina.
