Shreveport LA Times, Wednesday, June 22, 1992:
SHREVEPORT, LA --- Services for Mrs. Davisson were at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 1992, at Osborn Funeral Home Chapel.
Officiating was Rev. Dr. George Pearce, assisted by Rev. Dr. Benedict Galloway of Broadmoor Methodist Church. Interment was at Forest Park Cemetery.
Family visitation was Friday, January 17, 1992, from 4 p.m to 6 p.m. at Osborn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davisson was born in Westlake, Louisiana, but lived most of her life in Shreveport. She was a member of Broadmoor Methodist Church. Mrs. Davisson was also a member of many organizations in this area.
She was the daughter of the late Olive Lawley and Ashford Hughes Wilcox.
Mrs. Davisson was predeceased by her son, Barry Bracton Davisson.
She is survived by her husband, Claude L. Davisson and by three daughters, Carol and her husband William P. Reyenga, Jacquie and her husband William L. Hamilton of Sheridan, Wyoming, Penny and her husband Arthur P. Webb of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Davisson is also survived by six grandchildren, Barry B. Reyenga and his wife Donna, Leann and her husband Shawn Fenton, Cathy and her husband Scott Morris of Concord, California, Bryan Hamilton, Keith Hamilton and Jeffery Hamilton of Sheridan, Wyoming, and is survived by two great grandchildren, Shaun Morris of Concord, California, and Alexandra Nicole Reyenga of Shreveport.
She is also survived by one brother, Ashford Hughes Wilcox and his wife Nell of Fort Worth, Texas, and one niece, Mrs. Diane Baylor of Smellsville, Georgia.
Pallbearers were Alton Jean, C. W. Hollenshead, William P. Reyenga, William L. Hamilton, Arthur P. Webb and Barry B. Reyenga.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Pelican Travelers.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. John Gregorio, Dr. Charles J. Paine, Dr. Steven Hightower and Dr. Fred L. Price. The family would also like to thank the staffs of Highland Hospital, Schumpert Cancer Center and Springlake Guest Care.
