Esther Wanner, 89, Lyons, formerly of Logansport, passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004 in Lyons Health Care, Lyons. She was born Jan. 30, 1915 in Cass County to Bertha Smith and Boyd Bechtelheimer. She married Harold Wanner Sept. 29, 1950, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Wanner was a registered nurse, and a member of Cross-Wind United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Martha Riley, Lebanon; a brother, John Bechelheimer, Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Ruth Logan and Alice Bechtelheimer, and a brother, Lowell Bechtelheimer.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport. Interment will follow in the Hoover-Snyder Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Cross-Wind United Methodist Church.
