She was united in marriage to Herbert Harmon in 1931. To this union six children were born. She spent most of her life in Texas County. Her husband the Rev. Harmon is pastor of the First Baptist Church at Macks Creek.
Mrs. Harmon led a very active life in the church and community.
Surviving are her father, Charley Dixon of Houston; her husband, Herbert Harmon of Macks Creek; two sons, Charles Harmon, Cabool and Bob Harmon, Winona, Mo.; two daughters, Marie Best, West Plains and Sharon Courtney, Houston; seven grandchildren; and seven brothers, Marvin and Roscoe of Iowa; Everett of Cody, Wyo.; Roy of St. Louis, Troy, Wayne and Tilford Dixon of Houston; two sisters, Ruby Cummins and Dorothy Stanley of St. Louis.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 14 at 2 p.m. in the Evans-Elliott Chapel with the Rev. John E. Mathews officiating. Burial was in the Ozark Cemetery.
