Mrs. Nora Melissia Dixon, 72, well-known resident of the Yukon community, died February 23, 1963, at her home after a long illness.

The daughter of Calvin and Louisa Chambers, she was born in Liberal, Missouri, on Dec. 14, 1890. She was united in marriage to Charley Dixon, Aug. 26, 1906, by the Rev. Martin Bandy. To this union ten children were born.

Mrs. Dixon was united with the Big Creek Free Will Baptist Church early in life.

She is survived by seven sons, Marvin, Dallas Center, Iowa; Tilford, Houston, Missouri; Everett, Cody, Wyoming; Roscoe, Scranton, Iowa; Roy, St. Louis, Missouri; Troy, Solo, Missouri; and Wayne, Summersville, Missouri; three daughters, Opal Harmon, Houston, Missouri; Ruby Cummins, St. Louis, Missouri; Dorothy Stanley, St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Tressie Sevedge, Elk Creek, Missouri; Ada Chambers, Dallas Center, Iowa; 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services were conducted February 26, 1963, at the Big Creek Church with the Rev. Earl Baker officiating. Burial was in the Big Creek cemetery under the direction of the Evans Funeral Home.
