Ralph M. Shoemaker of Shelby Township, passed away on July 30th, 2019 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Billie Shoemaker (deceased) and loving father of daughter Rhonda (deceased), son and daughter. Ralph had many interests that included relaxing outside while watching the many varieties of birds in his neighborhood, growing vegetables in his garden, playing & solving mystery games on his computer and attending Amateur Radio events. Ralph was raised as a country boy in the rugged mountains of Eastern Kentucky. Ralph brought his country boy charismatic personality, southern accent and stories of his life growing up in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky to so many people that he met. He loved to tell his stories of his early days in Kentucky and other eventful stories from his career and his life. Ralph had one special characteristic that was noticed by many people; everyone that met him always liked him and was favored quickly. Ralph loved to play and joke with people, making them laugh with his humorous gestures and words. He had a big laugh that that was contagious and made it hard for others not to laugh along with him. He will be greatly missed.
