Gertrude Ferguson Whitt, 85, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at her home.
She was the daughter of Turnis Ferguson and Winnie Bland Ferguson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Frances Lott and Faye Towe; and one brother, Weldon Ferguson.
Mrs. Whitt lived in the Ardmore area a majority of her life and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She volunteered at the CHO (Christians Helping Others) Food Bank and was a Sunday School teacher.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, AL with a chapel service scheduled for the following day, Friday, April 29, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM. Bro. Aaron Armstrong and Bro. Lynn Marshall will officiate the service.
