Leora Hansen was born on March 16, 1922 at Mansfield, SD to Abraham and Verna (Wilson) Hansen. This is the area where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Warner High School with the class of 1938. She then attended Northern State College where she received her teaching certificate.

On June 24, 1943 she married Leonard Angerhofer at St. John's Lutheran Church Highland Township. They made their home on the family farm near Aberdeen. In 1966 they moved to Aberdeen where she worked for Northern State College as the Postmaster until she retired. They moved to Richmond Lake in 1978 and back to Aberdeen in 1987. Leonard died on July 17, 1989 at Aberdeen. In March of 2007 she moved to Sioux City, IA to be near her daughter.

Leora died Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Northern Hills Assisted Living Center, Sioux City.

She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and past member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Highland Township and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed collecting bird figurines and plates. She enjoyed basketball and dancing. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Pamela (Lloyd Schweigert) Angerhofer, Sioux City, IA, Richard (Cynthia) Angerhofer, Montgomery, AL, son-in-law, Freddie Robinson, seventeen grandchildren, Michelle, Tracy, Erin, Jessica (Drew), Courtney (Lorenzo), Sam, Chase, Hailey (Chris), Matthew (Donna), Melissa, Lacey (Mike), Kimberly (Michael), Kari, Terri (Lee), Sonia (Jess), Skip and Todd (Kelley), nineteen great grandchildren, Malcolm, Nick, Ryan, Gabbie, McKenzie, Vienna, Olivia, Kyleigh, Zoey, Nathan, Nick, Kia, Avery, Bryce, Kelsey, Riley, Madison, Austin and Andrew, Brother, Delmer (Gladys) Hansen, Aberdeen and sister, Jo Elaine Tolvstad, Mellette.

Leora is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Angerhofer, daughter, Sandra Robinson, grandson, Christopher Schweigert, parents, Abraham and Verna Hansen, sister, Mildred Schaunaman.

Service for Leora Angerhofer, 85, Sioux City, IA and formerly of Aberdeen at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Svingen officiating. Burial at Riverside Memorial Park.
