Lower Burrell
Stella Wisneski, 90, of Lower Burrell, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at Allegheny Valley Hospital. She was born Sept. 26, 1916, in Creighton, and had been a life long resident of the local area. Mrs. Wisneski was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. She enjoyed cooking, baking and shopping. She is survived by two sons, Ronald S. Wisneski, of Lower Burrell, and Gerald (Carol) Wisneski, of Russellton; daughter, Janet (John) Zak, of Huntington, Ind.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley J. Wisneski; her parents, Jacob and Julie Smolak; brothers, Paul, Peter and Louis Smolak; sisters, Helen Malisher, Nellie Harmon and Millie Ristoff; half sisters, Mary Slomkowski and Genevieve Benecki; and a stepbrother, John Wysocki. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, where prayers of transfer will be said 9 a.m. Tuesday followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary Church, New Kensington, with the Rev. Richard P. Karenbauer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Lower Burrell.
