The Obit says:

Charles Fine, 83, on January 10 of this year and a resident at 216 West Race Street, died last night around 7:15 in City Hospital where he had been a patient two weeks. He was born in the small village of Zemel, Lithuania, and came to the United States in 1895. He first came lived in Anderson, S.C. and came to Martinsburg one year later. He was known as one of the earliest "peddlers" having gone in business with Joseph Eckstein of Baltimore. Hew came to Martinsburg because his brother, Louis, had a local store. After a time he went in business with his brother and remained in that business until 1929 when that firm was dissolved. Following dissolution of that business, he went in to the grocery business with his sons, Simon and Israel, at 222 North Queen Street. In 1936 he gave up the grocery business and opened the City Junk Yard on West Race Street. He was in that business until death. He was one of the founders of the Beth [Jacob] Synagogue in 1911 and served as its president a number of times. He was a member of the Odd Fellows for 40 years and a member of the Macabees. His wife, Mrs. Fannie Fine, preceded him in death in 1936. He is survived by three sons - Simon, Israel and Harry Fine, of Baltimore; two grandchildren - Faye Ann at the home and Phyllis, Baltimore. He is an uncle of Sol, Harry, Reuben and Nathan Fine. Services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 at Beth Jacob Synagogue and burial will be in the Beth Jacob Cemetery. The family asks that flowers be omitted.
