11/12/1936 - Services for Mrs. Alma PLETCHER wife of Thomas PLETCHER, of Howard, who died last Thursday morning in the Lock Haven Hospital where she had been a patient for almost a week were held in the Howard Methodist church Sunday afternoon with the Rev. M. F. Morris pastor of the church officiating. Burial was made in the Schenck cemetery. Mrs. PLETCHER was born at Howard, May 7, 1880, a daughter of William and Lucy SCHENCK, both deceased. She is survived by her husband, Mrs. George LOUTH of Lock Haven and Miss Alma PLETCHER at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Melvin SCHENCK, Clearfield; Mrs. Albert CODER, Nittany; Mrs. Sue TICE, Mrs. Earl CONFER, Mrs. Harry Oouter, Mrs. Howard KLINE,
all of Howard Foster and George SCHENCK both of Blanchard. One sister Mrs. Blanche JOHNSON preceded her in death. Two grandchildren survive. Well known in Howard, Mrs. PLETCHER was an active member of the Howard Methodist Episcopal church as well as being interested in all civic affairs. She was a member of the P.O.S. A. and the Howard grange.

11/07/1936, Lock Haven - Gazette Bulletin - Funeral Services for Mrs. Alta Pletcher, 56, wife of Thomas A. Pletcher, of Howard, will be held in the Howard Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the pastor, the Rev Raymond L. Morris, and interment will be made in the Schenck Cemetery near Howard. Mrs. Pletcher died in the Lock Haven Hospital at 11:30 Thursday morning of pneumonia. She was admitted Wednesday night in a serious condition. She was a lifelong resident of Howard and for many years had been an active member of the Merthodist Church there. She is also survived by two daughters, Mrs. R. Gordon Lauth, of Lock Haven and Miss Alma at home.
