Well known in Howard, Mrs. PLETCHER was an active member of the Howard Methodist Episcopal church as well as being interested in all civic affairs. She was a member of the P.O.S. A. and the Howard grange.
11/07/1936, Lock Haven - Gazette Bulletin - Funeral Services for Mrs. Alta Pletcher, 56, wife of Thomas A. Pletcher, of Howard, will be held in the Howard Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the pastor, the Rev Raymond L. Morris, and interment will be made in the Schenck Cemetery near Howard. Mrs. Pletcher died in the Lock Haven Hospital at 11:30 Thursday morning of pneumonia. She was admitted Wednesday night in a serious condition. She was a lifelong resident of Howard and for many years had been an active member of the Merthodist Church there. She is also survived by two daughters, Mrs. R. Gordon Lauth, of Lock Haven and Miss Alma at home.
