Andrew Iverson was born in Degeberga, Malmo, Sweden, to Anders and Elna Joransson Iversson. At the age of six, from April to October, he earned his board and ten crowns (about $2.50) by herding cows for neighboring farmers. He learned to read and write while serving in the Swedish Army. A convert to the LDS Church, he came to Utah in 1911. On February 12, 1913, he married Hanna Pehrson, the daughter of Pehr O. and Elsie Olson Pehrson. She was born July 28, 1890. Together they worked in the fields and milked cows for their livelihood. Andrew worked on construction and as a bricklayer. At age seventy, he did rock work at the top of the Logan Temple and worked on the consuction of the Millville church house. With horses and dumpboards, he hauled numerous loads of gravel onto Millville streets. He was a Ward Teacher for fifty-seven years, and he served nine home missions in the Hyrum Stake. Hanna was a tireless worker in Primary and Relief Society, and she served two Temple Missions with her husband. They were the parents of: Kenneth Andrew (Helen Barfuss), Elva Matilda (Rodney Vogel, Wayne Walker) and Stella (Theron Egg).
