David Bornholtz passed away at the home of his son, William Bornholtz, 4101 Van Buren avenue, in Leeds, Tuesday evening, at the age of 85 years. Mr. Bornholtz was a former resident of Lincoln township, having farmed here many years before moving to Leeds. Surviving Mr. Bornholtz are three sons, John, of Hinton, Ia.; Hans and William, of Leeds, and two daughters, Mrs. John Nestle (Nuessle) and Mrs. Joe Nestle (Nuessle). His wife preceded him in death several years ago. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock services at the Presbyterian church in Leeds. Internment in Lincoln cemetery.
David Bornholtz married Mary Ann Black on April 12, 1872 in Cook County, Illinois. She is also buried here.
