PASSMORE RITES SET TODAY

Gladys Passmore, 81, of Broken Bow, died Saturday, May 23, at DeQueen, Ark. She was born Aug. 18, 1915, at Jadie.

Mrs. Passmore lived in the Broken Bow area all of her life. She married Willie Passmore on Nov. 6, 1933, at Telephone, Texas. They were original owners and founders of Passmore Supermarkets.

Mrs. Passmore was a homemaker and was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Passmore, on Oct. 13, 1978; two daughters, Rosalee Passmore in 1936 and Ruby Faye Lasfer in 1976; a grandson, Bobby Jay Passmore, on May 31, 1969; and four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, J. W. and Cindi Passmore of Wilburton, Bob and Barbara Passmore of Idabel, and Willie Jr. and Brenda Passmore of Broken Bow; two daughters and a son-in-law, Willa Willingham of Goodwater, and Ann and James Barrick of Broken Bow;

Two brothers, Rudolph Dean of Broken Bow and Arthur Dean of Shasta Valley, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with David Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Broken Bow Cemetery.
