12/24/1908-Clarence Brittingham and Dr. Ashley accompanied Edward Brittingham to Kansas City Missouri this week where he was taken to a hospital to be treated for stomach trouble. He has been ailing for over two years but his condition has become so alarming that this step was deemed necessary to insure his recovery.
1/20/1909, Edward Brittingham, age 27, who has been sick for several months died yesterday morning about 8 O'clock. He had been in poor health for a long time and could find nothing to give him relief from the dreaded disease, tuberculosis. The funeral was held at the home in this city today at 11 a.m. and the body was taken to the William Holmes Cemetery, east of Prescott for burial. The deceased was about 27 years old and has lived all his life in Linn county.
