Married Nancy Ann Bellavia
AUSTIN, CHARLES (CHUCK), passed away peacefully on Christmas Day. Born just outside of Asheville N.C. in 1925, a 53 year resident of Hialeah. He was a proud Military Veteran and Navy Seal Graduate who served the United States Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. A well respected pioneer of Hialeah and one of the original "founders" of the Hialeah Flea Market in the early 1960's. Upon arriving in S. Fla. in the early 50's he began a distinguished career with Eastern Airlines In-Flight Service that spanned 38 years. On one of his flights leaving Pittsburgh P.A. to Miami is where he met and later married Nancy Bellavia. They were to celebrate 50 years of marriage in July. Chuck touched the lives of all who met him with his ability to engage in conversation and make you feel special. His passion centered around his whole family since retirement. He leaves behind a very loving family and is survived by his wife Nancy, sons, David Austin Jr. (Renatta), John Austin (Kimberly), James Austin (Annette), Douglas Austin (Sandra) and grandchildren, David, John, Jessica, Michael, Julianne, Danielle, Christopher, Joseph & Erika. " An amazing Father who imparted many simple but practical lessons to pass down as his legacy, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him". He was a Mason and a Shriner 7-9 pm with Masonic Services Wednesday, 8 pm at Lowe-Hanks Funeral Home 305-885-3521
