Woodfin - Adda Lee Moore "Nanny" Odum, 85, of 29 Church Road, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center.
Mrs. Odum was formerly a CNA with St. Joseph's Hospital, was an avid gardener and one who loved her flowers, plants and her Atlanta Braves.
Mrs. Odum was a daughter of the late Wince Moore and Cleo Jones and wife of Jonathan Andrew Odum who died March 1995. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gerald Odum who died September 2011.
Surviving are her sons, Mike Odum and Tommy Odum and wife Keri all of Asheville; granddaughters, Ashley Young, Stephanie Odum, Lori Odum, Alex Odum and Avery Odum; great grandsons, Landon, Maddox and Brintley; siblings, Polly, Sandy and Bo and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, May 16, 2015 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Mountain Cemetery with the graveside services conducted by Rev. David Ray. Pallbearers will be David Odum, Ken Sanders, David Dennie, Bruce Greene, Arthur Lamb and Don Harrison.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
