Alva T. Nichols and Mary Terry were married 15 June 1928 in Kinderhook, Pike county, Illinois. Mrs. Nichols worked for Ursa Co-Op telephone and for Ursa Co-Op elevator company.
Mary Nichols taught Golden Rule Sunday school at Ursa Christian church. She was president of CWF at that church as well as the treasurer.
Mrs. Nichols belonged to Geronteers and to the Unity Night Home Extension via North Adams nursing home.
Mary Nichols passed away 23 January 1978 at a hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Alva Nichols predeceased her, 7 March 1975. In addition, their son Terry Nichols, and Mrs. Nichols' brother Herbert Terry, predeceased her.
Reverend Everett Seeber, Reverend Harvey Wilfred, and Reverend Lee Anthony led services held at Ursa Christian Church. Interment took place at New Providence cemetery, Ursa Illinois.
