ALMA KNOX DAVIS

Alma Knox Davis, 50, of Sweetwater, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel in Sweetwater with Pastor Ollie Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemeter.

Mrs. Davis was born March 3, 1950 in Memphis, TX. She married George Edward Davis May 2, 1995 in Sweetwater. She was a homemaker and was a member of Rhema Valley Church. She was a lifetime resident of Sweetwater.

Survivors include her husband, George Edward Davis of Abilene; four sons, Richard Knox of Abilene; Eddie McCann, Lee Andrew (Cheetah) Knox and Anthony Knox, all of Sweetwater; one daughter, Brenda McCann of Sweetwater; 11 grandchildren; five brothers, Billy Knox of Dallas, Harold Knox of Amarillo, John Arthur Knox, Jr. of Abilene, Lawrence Knox of Abilene and Curt Knox of Dallas; six sisters, Arlene Davis of Sweetwater, Pearlie Mae Johnson of Dallas, Linda Knox of Sweetwater, Helen Lyons of Dallas, Shirley Knox of Galveston and Isabel Hall of Oklahoma; and several half brothers and half sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Arthur and Beatrice Knox and six brothers and sisters.
