Final Rites Held
For Annie Halford

Funeral services will be held Saturday noon in the Bountiful Seventh Ward for Mrs. Annie Spires Hatch Halford, who died at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday at her home on 1250 South Orchard Drive.

She was 81 years old.

Mrs. Halford was born Jan. 8, 1879 in Derby, England, to John and Priscilla Hingley Spires. They came to Salt Lake City Mar. 27, 1879, and moved to Bountiful one year later.

She married Samuel Hatch in Bountiful in 1900. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mr. Hatch died July 26, 1924.

On May 17, 1939, she married Robert Halford. He died Jan. 18, 1949.

An active church member, Mrs. Halford was Relief Society organist. She was also a teacher in the Sunday School and Relief Society.

Survivors include four sons and a daughter: Samuel and Louis Hatch, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Edward (Mary) Oakley, Salt Lake City; Melvin Hatch, Bountiful; Charles Hatch, Magna. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. James W. Vickery, lives in California.

Friends will call tonight (Friday) at the Union Mortuary from 7 to 9 p.m. and again Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
