Obituary for Catherine Mae Brenner
Catherine (Kutch) Brenner, 90 passed away on Tuesday February 6, 2018 at the Chippewa Manor Nursing Home under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice.
She was born on May 29, 1927 in Arcadia WI the daughter of George and Margaret (Zeller) Abts.
She married Orville Brenner on October 7, 1947 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Arcadia. They farmed in Elk Mound, and the town of Ruby and settled in Cadott, where she was a cook for 19 years at St. Joseph Catholic School.
She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish. She sang in the choir for many years and was a member of the Happy Wanders, and St. Ann’s and St. Helen’s circles.
Kutch enjoyed fishing, golfing, square dancing, and knitting hats and mittens each year for the mitten tree in Cadott. They enjoyed many winters in Winter Haven,Florida.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Orville, children Rodney (Nanna) of Winter ,WI, Karlene (John) Lee of Holcombe, Lou Ann (Ned) Willkom, of Cadott, Patricia (Ronald) Pozarski of Burnsville, MN, Lori (Roger) Zumbrock, of Chippewa Falls, sisters Carmen VerHagen, Mary Lou Sobotta, Jane Abts, brothers Eugene Abts, William Abts, Daniel Abts.
She is survived by 16 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Charlotte Goodman, sister’s Moraine Suchla, Dawn Kostner, Marjore Rumpel, Evelyn Laehn, brother Melvin Abts.
A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 10th, 2018 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cadott, WI. with Deacon Ned Willkom officiating.
Interment will follow the Service at St. Rose Cemetery, Town of Sigel.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM Saturday morning at the Church.
