ALLIANCE -- Gertrude Jackson Brandonisio, 95, passed away on the morning of Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at Altercare of Alliance surrounded by her family. She was born March 13, 1920, in Flat Lick, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Daw and Rebecca Bingham Jackson.

Gertrude lived most of her life in this area. She was a devoted mother and housewife. Gertrude also worked for a while at Wellsville Pottery. She enjoyed scrapbooking and was an avid gardener.

Gertrude will be sadly missed by her daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Brandonisio Barnes of Alliance, Ohio; a son, Ronald (Karen) Brandonisio of Alliance; one sister, Elsie Hammons of Flat Lick, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Robbie (Rhonda) Brandonisio of Englewood, Ohio, Kandi (Rob) Rossey of Carrollton, Ohio, Craig Phillips of Dellroy, Ohio, Tricia (Bryan) Vance of Concord, Ohio, and Brent (Katie) Barnes of Alliance; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Brandonisio; six brothers; and four sisters.
Services will be held at noon Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home in Salineville, Ohio, with Pastor Pat Smith of Salineville United Methodist Church officiating.

Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
