John Matson, 73 years old, passed away on Friday at his home, 409 North Fifth Street in Kansas City, Kansas. He was survived by his widow, Mrs. Helen Matson; five sons, Mathew J. Matson of 519 Splitlog Avenue, Martin M. Matson of 701 East Ninth Street, Kansas City, Missouri, Albert Matson of Macon, Georgia, John F. Matson of 446 Barnett Avenue and Joseph F. Matson of 410 Ann Avenue; and four daughters, Mrs. Anna Jarsulic of 1953 North 26th Street, Mrs. Mary R. Cree of 53 South 20th Street, Mrs. Helen F. Mufic of 1849 North 24th Street, and Mrs. Katherine Ann Bosley of 1727 North 31st Street; 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held on Monday morning from the home, followed by the Funeral Mass at St. John's Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. John Stine, Funeral Director.
