Born Sept. 6, 1915, to Ammon C. and Maude Riley Pletcher in Ardmore, he died April 24, 2004, in Ardmore. He was married to Essie Conway Pletcher. She preceded him in death on April 13, 1982. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bruce Pletcher, A.C. Pletcher Jr. and Buck Pletcher; and a sister, Norma Brown. Mr. Pletcher had lived in Ardmore all his life. He owned and operated an automotive dealership and was in the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association. Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Strother and husband, Ray, Broken Arrow and Sue Hill and husband, Jim, Ardmore; two brothers, W.W. Pletcher, Wichita, Kan. and E.W. Pletcher, Davis; two sisters, Marie Underwood, Del City and Cupie Taylor, Ardmore; five grandchildren, Brian and Cyndi Strother, Michelle and David Peters, Stephanie Strother, Holli and Chris Anthony, Staci and Jimmy Reynolds; and nine great grandchildren.
