"Harold S. Summers, 76, of Veedersburg, Ind., died at 8:60 a.m. Friday (July 27, 1990) at UMSC, Logan Campus emergency room. He was born June 20, 1914, in Fulton Township, Fountain County, Ind., the son of William E. and Bessie Ann Smith Summers. He married Edith B. Smith an April 18, 1936. She survives.

Also surviving: two brothers, Paul E. Summers of Covington, Ind., Route 3, and Gerald W. Summers of Kingman, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.

Se was a life resident of Fountain County and a resident of Veedersburg since 1964. He was a former employee of CAW Bros. Orchard and Ed Powers Construction Company. He was a member of Sterling Christian Church, Sterling, Ind.

Services were Monday at the Sterling Christian Church with the Reverend Gary Johnson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery with arrangements by Shelby Funeral Home, Covington." – Wabash Valley Reporter, August 2, 1990
