COLUMBUS, GA: Lists of People, 1828-1852, and Sexton's Reports to 1866 by Mary Jane Galer (published 2000), on page 260 says Serg't. Jones was killed at Petersburg in 1864 and reinterred to Linwood Cemetery on April 21, 1866.

The Battle of Petersburg (a.k.a. the Siege of Petersburg) was a series of battles around the cities of Richmond and Petersburg, VA, fought from June 15, 1864 to April 2, 1865, during the American Civil War.

2 other men reinterred on April 21, 1866 (Maj. Thos. W. Camak killed 1863 at Gettysburg, and Capt. John K. Redd killed 1864 at Petersburg) have marked graves in their family lots, not in one of the Confederate sections. So Sgt. Jones is probably also in a family lot, but probably not marked.
