Services July 14 for George Leerhoff, 68

George Edward Leerhoff, 68 passed away Thursday evening at the Waverly hospital following complications from heart surgery. The son of Folkert and Katherine Dettmers Leerhoff was born February 27, 1905 at Butler Center and married Rosa Tiedt February 22, 1928 at Waverly. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Clarksville, a past church counsil member and served seven years as director of Jefferson School District.

Survivors include his wife, one son Vernon of Clarksville, 4 daughters, Mrs. Eldon Christensen of Clarksville, Mrs. Loren McEnany of Waterloo, Mrs. Virgil Buhr of Denver and Mrs. David Loehr of Litchfield, Minn. One sister, Katie Leerhoff of Minneapolis, Minn and one brother Clarence of Nashua, Minn. and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church with burial in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly.

Schwartz Funeral Home, Clarksville was in charge of arrangements.
