His cremation was by FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City, NV. Ashes were given to the family. When Wanda dies, she will be cremated and their ashes will be placed at their headstone at Gobbler Cemetery.
J.C. Roberts, 77, of Gardnerville, Nev., died at at Carson-Tahoe Hospital on Oct. 8. He was born Oct. 11, 1927, at Connor, in Carroll County, to Jay R. Roberts and Sue Mae (Sisco) Roberts.
He was married to his wife of 58 years, Wanda Roberts, on June 20, 1947, in Washington, D.C.
He served in the U.S. Army in 1946, and was an engineer and retired from the City of San Jose, Calif. He belonged to Carson City American Legion and was a volunteer driver for Veterans Affairs.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Wanda, of Gardnerville; his daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Robert Arias of Soquel, Calif; and daughter Rene Maus of Campbell, Calif. He had nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation was under the direction of FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
