Her Parents: William Casson Haskin, 1874 – 1952 and Lettie E. Bradley Haskin, 1883 - 1925
Shortly after Rose's mother Lettie passed away in 1925, her father William gave up his parental rights to 13 of their then 16 living children.
The 16 children born to this couple included 4 sets of twins. At the untimely death of his wife, Mr. Haskin realizing the best life he could offer his minor children would be to relinquish his parental rights. The 12 minor children ranged from age 15 down to his infant daughter, Rose. Within 17 days of their mother's death, these children became wards of the Montana Children's Center in Twin Bridges, Montana. Shortly thereafter, many were taken in as foster children and some were adopted; always keeping each of the 4 sets of twins together.
Rose's siblings were -
Violet Leona Haskin Hart, b 1904

Arlene Lettie Haskin McDonald, b 1906

William Leo Haskin, b 1908

Victor Earl Haskin, b 1910

Twin set 1: Reo Matthew Haskin and Retha Fen Haskin Kraker, b 1911; adopted name Guderjohn

When searching for Rose's memorial I discovered it was listed on a plaque for orphans and I felt the need to enter what information I knew of her family and attach it to her parents memorials.
