Catherine was the daughter of Conrad and Clarissa/Claretje "Claracy" (Van Houten) Line, both of Dutch descent. (Note: their headstones are engraved "Lion.") Married Elias Decker on Aug. 28, 1785 in Sussex County, New Jersey (records of Dutch Reformed Church). They were reported to have had 13 children. (birth records located for three of their children: Elisha, Catherine and Coenrad/Conrad).
Elias Decker was born on May 30, 1761 in Northhampton County, PA. He served in both the American Revolution and War of 1812. After Catherine's death, Elias married Mary Kinzer in Washington County, OH, on April 14, 1831. The couple removed to the east side of Eagle Township, Hancock County, OH, in 1831, where he died on August 26, 1851.
Katherine's brother, Conrad Line Jr. (and variations), moved from Franklin to Hancock County in 1830.
