Services for Palmer Lewis, 85, of Douglas Avenue, who died Friday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with the Revs James Avaritt and Roy Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

He was a native of Bedford County and lived in Rutherford County the last 65 years.

Lewis was the son of the late Joe and Jennie Wilson Lewis.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Anderson Lewis; two sons, James Leo Lewis and Earl "Tommy" Lewis, both of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Ruth McNeiley, Hazel Feathers and Ann Werner, all of Murfreesboro; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was a member of the Bellwood Baptist Church and a commercial truck driver.

Visitation with the family will be after 6 p.m. Saturday at Jennings and Ayers chapel.
