Graveside service for Claudie Oneal Hardy will be held Sunday, June 2, 2019, at 3 p.m. from Coldwater Cemetery in Neshoba County with Rev. Dennis Duvall officiating. Visitation will be held at Coldwater Church from 2 p.m. Sunday until service time. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hardy, 82, of Preston, died Friday, May 31, 2019, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

A native of Coldwater Community in Neshoba County, he was a longtime resident of Flora, MS, later returning to Coldwater Community. He began his work career with Magnavox in Flora, MS, and retired from Reliance/Azko Chemical Coatings in Clinton, MS. After retirement he was a cattle and chicken farmer and operated Mary D’s and Claudie Country Kitchen restaurants in Neshoba County. Mr. Hardy was a member of Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary D. Hardy, of Preston, MS; sons, Ricky (Suzanne) Hardy of Flora, MS, and Michael Anthony Hardy of Preston, MS; daughters, Sherry Hardy (Kye) Goode of Leesburg, MS, and Angela Hardy of Lawrence, MS; grandchildren, Nick and Nathan Hardy, and Holly Goode; great-grandchildren, Julia Suzanne Hardy, Melonie Hardy, Maria, McKenzie, Matthew Hardy, Kent Parks, B. J. and Bodie Robinson.

Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by parents; six brothers; and two grandchildren.
