Phyllis Joyce Williams, age 73, of LaCenter, Kentucky, died Thursday, May 30, 2019, at her home, with her loving family by her side. Born September 9, 1945, in Dorena, Missouri, to the late Newt Wade and Verna Mae Henderson Brewer, she had been employed by the Nutrition Center in Barlow, Kentucky. She was of Baptist faith.

On January 30, 1967, in Rockford, Illinois, she married Larry Raymond Williams, who survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Parrish Williams and Sheldon Williams, both of LaCenter; one daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Wenton Bryant of LaCenter; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, David and Brenda Brewer, Frankie and Norma Jean Brewer and Michael Brewer, all of East Prairie; and four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Annie Chance of East Prairie, Verna and Wayne Williams of Dothen, Alabama, Brenda and Larry Riggins of East Prairie and Donna Shands of East Prairie. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jayce Bryant, Noah Williams and Parris Williams; and one great grandchild, Skyler Bryant.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Eldred Brewer, Billy Brewer and Danny Brewer; and five sisters, Imogene Brewer, Elizabeth Miller, Cordy Brewer, Kaye Youngblood and Barbara McAfee.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 3, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 12 noon at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Graveside services will follow at Dogwood Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
