Fitzhugh Robbs
~ Fitzhugh Lee Robbs, 94, of 909 Robbs School Rd., died Monday, Nov. 22, 1993, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
~ He was the husband of Julia Annie Koon Robbs and the son of the late Andrew Cleveland and Sallie Lemmons Robbs. He was a former Duke Power employee and a retired elevator operator from Cone Mills in Cliffside, N.C. He was the oldest member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church.
~ Also surviving are two sons, James C. Robbs and Julius T. Robbs, both of Gaffney; one daughter, Annie Lee Robbs of the home; four grandchldren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
~ Services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Grassy Pond Baptist Church with Dr. Roger Aycock and the Rev. Sidney Norton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 2:30.
~ Pallbearers will be Eric Wright, Michael Walker, Terry Hunt, Furman Byars, Dwayne Humphries, Benny Phillips, Ray Wofford and Danny Queen.
~ Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class 70 and Up, Dr. Randall Moss, Dr. Arthur Pderson, Eckles Phillips, John Wood, Lewis Huskey Sr., Smith Wood and Freeman Lemmons.
~ Visitation will be held tonight from 7-8:30 at Shuford Hatcher Funeral Home.
~ The family is at the residence.
~ In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grassy Pond Cemetery Fund, 254 Grassy Pond Rd., Gaffney, S.C.
