Kenneth (Ken) Barkley passed away at his home in Muskogee on May 28, 2019, he was 75. He was born on October 27, 1943 in California to Lance and Neva Barkley. Soon after, his family relocated to Oklahoma, where he graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa in 1961, with his parents settling in Council Hill, Oklahoma. Ken attended Tulsa University and received two Bachelor of Science degrees; one in Geology and one in Petrol Engineering. In 1973, he received a Master’s Degree in Petrol Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.

After graduation, he worked for Sunray Oil Company, and then later for Amoco Oil. He traveled the world working in the oil industry until his retirement in 1989. After retiring, Ken assisted his future wife, Dee, with her store, All Time Records. He relocated from Council Hill to Muskogee permanently, and married his wife, Dee, on March 16, 2013.

Ken enjoyed collecting baseball cards, metal detecting, and playing cards. He was a civil war buff and a fan of OU football. He attended church at Assembly of God and loved reading his Bible.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lance and Neva Barkley.

Ken is survived by his wife, Delores; stepsons, Robert Neuzil and wife Diana, and Matt Neuzil; stepdaughter, Becky Duke; three step grandchildren; and one step great-grandson, all of Muskogee; uncle, Arthur Watson; cousins, Gary Watson, Dana Watson, and Dona (Charlene) Jones; along with many friends.

Funeral services celebrating Ken’s life will be at 10AM, Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Council Hill Cemetery in Council Hill, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Hometown Hospice in Muskogee.
