Lifelong Resident Succumbs

Mrs. Adeline Sorensen, wife of Fred Sorensen and a resident of this community since her childhood, died Monday afternoon in a local hospital. She had been in failing health for the last 15 months. The family home is at 233 South Plum.

Services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Harvey Clark, pastor of St. Paul's English Lutheran Church, will conduct the service. Burial is to be in Westlawn Memorial Park.

Visitiaton hours are to be from 7 to 9 o"clock Wednesday evening at the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sorensen had lived all of her life in Nebraska. She was born May 4, 1903 at Marquette to Thomas and Ann Spinas. When she was a child, the family came to this community and it was here that she completed her schooling. She and Mr. Sorensen were married in Grand Island Nov. 27, 1920. They had made their only home here. For the last while prior to her illness, Mrs. Sorensen had been employed at the Veterans Hospital.

She was a member of the congregation of St. Paul's English Lutheran Church. In her early life she was baptized in her faith and as a young girl, she was confirmed in her faith.

She is survived by her husband, one son, Arnold Sorensen, Concord, Calif; three daughters, Mrs. Henry Busig and Mrs. E. G. Wilson, both of Grand Island, and Mrs. Ronald Falldorf, St Albans, Vt; four brothers, Dewey Spinas, Casper, Wyo., James Spinas, Salt Lake City, Utah, Elizia Spinas, Alma, Ark., and Fred Spinas, Ft. Smith, Ark.; five sisters, Mrs. John Wade, Miss Lulu Spinas and Mrs. Ellsworth Reilly, all of Lincoln, Ark. and Mrs. Doyle Wright and Mrs. Charles Machrill, both of Modesto, Calif.; and sever grandchildren.

Mrs. Sorensen was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Samuel and Thomas Spinas and one sister, Mrs. Cora Huber.
