Franklin J. Probasco, 92, of Milford passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Willowbrook of Savoy, where he resided since 2018. He was born December 19, 1926 in Hoopeston, the son of Harvey and Nettie J. (Fink) Probasco. He married Helena H. Wood on December 9, 1950 in Watseka and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Howard and Donald Probasco; and three sisters, Catherine Bruens, Betty Longest and Elna Bertram.

He is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Sam) Luttrell of St. Joseph and Lisa (Dave) Yates of Holt’s Summit, MO; three grandchildren, Lacy Killion, Molly McKee and Tristan McKee; and five great-grandchildren, Austin Maxson, Hannah Maxson, Jasmine Simmons, Jaden Simmons and Trenton Jefferson.

Mr. Probasco served in the U.S. Army and drove a truck in Salzburg, Austria during WWII. He also drove trucks for his father before and after the war. Frank worked as a city clerk and later as a rural letter carrier in Milford. He was a member of the Milford Christian Church and the Cissna Park American Legion Post #527.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Stockland with military graveside rites by the Cissna Park American Legion Post #527.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford.
